Dancing with the Stars
Has Jennie Garth aged even one day since she started 90210?! Not fair.

Random Question
While flipping around the stations during a commerical break of a football game yesterday, I caught the opening credits for SNL. Did Darrell Hammond leave and come back or has he stayed with SNL this whole time? It is hard for me to keep track of the cast and for some reason this caught me off guard.

Thank Goodness That's Over
The PD offices in our state our switching over to a new system, much to my dismay, that is very political. For a while, there was an issue as to whether my boss would still be my boss. If not, I would be looking for a new job. For the past little bit, I've been debating different types of law, where in the state I would continue to practice, what to do next, and I was even considering taking another state's bar exam. The horror! However, as of yesterday, it is official. My boss will still be my boss. My job is no longer in jeopardy. No new bar exam for at least another year. Huzzah!
In other news, I got all of my CLEs for the coming year. Sitting through those things was abject misery!

Catching Up
What I'm doing at work: Working. Trying to move some cases, but this has been damn near impossible since we have hardly had any judges lately. Not visiting the jail even though I need to desperately.
What I'm doing at home: Enjoying my nice furnished apartment. Lots of knitting. I finished two projects that will be Christmas gifts, but then I put four new projects on needles -- not exactly progress. I was sick the past few days so I've also been napping, watching football, and talking on the phone.
What I am reading: Mostly magazines this weekend because of being sick. When I'm sick, I like to read crappy magazines instead of crappy books. I've also been reading lots of knitting related books for patterns, ideas, and stories. Lately, I have been back into the stupid mysteries a la Janet Evanovich, Robert Parker, and James Patterson.
What I am watching: College football. Lots of movies off my Netflix queue. Loved Notes on a Scandal, liked The Queen, not impressed by Dreamgirls and Marie Antoinette, Running with Scissors was okay, and The Last Kiss was boring. Those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I also watched Freaks and Geeks: The Complete Series -- AWESOME. Definitely a show that I'm disappointed was cancelled so early, but since I never watched it when it first came out, I guess it doesn't really matter.
What I am listening to: Whatever is on the radio. Whatever pops up on my iPod. Haven't downloaded or bought any new music lately.
What I am thinking about: Catching up on work, homemade Christmas presents, what I hope to accomplish in my late 20s, how I am still tired even though I have slept a ridiculous amount in the past four days.
What I am not thinking about: OJ's latest arrest, who will replace Roberto Gonzalez, and that I really have to take out the garbage.

Recipe for a great weekend
Friday:
* Take the day off of work
* Go out of town
* Have an easy drive with no traffic
* See old friends, including one you haven't seen in four years
* Laugh and reminisce
* Start drinking
* Create a false identity
* Continue drinking while hitting several bars
* Talk to just about every person who is staying in our hotel for the football game while out at said bars
* Get back to the hotel and crash at about 2:30
Saturday:
* Wake up early when friends of friends come knocking on the hotel room
* Indulge in free continental breakfast while nursing a vicious hangover
* Get ready
* Start prepartying by the hotel's pool with the rest of the out of town fans
* Continue drinking
* Take several pictures
* Socialize with the people from the night before, even if we don't remember each other
* Talk major crap about Michigan
* Go to tailgate near the stadium
* Go to the game
* Have friend kicked out of game and put on trespass notice
* Receive text from said friend that says "I'm not in jail."
* Continue watching game
* Our team wins game
* Go back to hotel and drink at hotel bar with all of our new friends who are celebrating
* Meet cute boys
* Meet a guy who was a policeman for 15 years before becoming a college professor. Debate illegal searches and innocent until proven guilty while fending off his sexual advances
* Go downtown with cute boys, but realize it is lame
* Pick up beer and go back to hotel with friend and said boys
* Hang out with boys until 4:00
* Pass out
Sunday:
* Wake up totally wiped out
* Enjoy another continental breakfast with friend's fiancee
* Hang out in hotel room laughing about day before
* Say goodbye to friends
* Drive back
* While driving, decide to get Taco Bell. Wait in their drive thru for a ridiculous 20 minutes
* Finally get home
* Nap for about 1 1/2 hours
* Three hours later, fall asleep for good
Monday:
* Wake up feeling pretty refreshed
* Be grateful that I don't have to go to work today
* Check email and get pictures from the weekend from a friend
* Go sit by pool
* Doze off by pool
* Get woken up by kids who live in complex
* Go back home and get cleaned up
* Grocery shop
* Come back and eat everything I just bought while watching movies
* Balance checkbook and be pleasantly surprised at balance
* Read a book
* Get ready for work tomorrow
All in all, a wonderful weekend. It was just what the doctor ordered and I feel refreshed and ready to go.

Is This Stooping Too Low?
I was watching tv at a friend's house last night. There was a commercial for a new program that has almost inspired me to get my cable hooked up. It is called The Two Coreys. From what I gather, the premise is that Corey Haim moves in with Corey Feldman. It looks awesomely bad!
